Sterile Processing Tech - Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required, working one day of the weekend (not both)
• On-call required once per month for 24-hour call coverage and 24-hour holiday call
• 3 years of sterile processing experience required
• Must be a certified SPD Tech with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Required certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA (either certification accepted)
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Perform decontamination and disinfection procedures
• Apply aseptic technique in all sterile processing activities
• Manage case carts, organize trays, and place instruments on trays
• Follow preference cards and proper selection of wrapping materials
• Execute sterilization wrapping procedures
• Maintain equipment documentation and utilize Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM)
• Proficiency with high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), and scope/probe reprocessing
• Experience with robotics, laparoscopic, and orthopedic instrument sets preferred
• Skilled in use of washers/sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and biological/chemical indicators
