NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Pediatric float pool position rotating across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Must have PICU and NICU experience and be comfortable with pediatric patients
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to PICU, NICU, Peds ED, Acute Pediatrics, and on occasion to L&D and Mother/Baby
• Patient ratios vary by unit: PICU 1:2, NICU 1:2 (ICU) or 1:3 (ICN), Acute Pediatrics 1:4-1:5, Peds ED variable
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS
• Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (can submit with certification pending)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• Virginia nursing license required (pending license accepted)
• BSN preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO approved during first 2 weeks of assignment
• Key skills include: ventilator management, ECMO, arterial line management, hemodynamic monitoring, high flow nasal cannula, central line care, pediatric dosage calculations, and tracheostomy care
