ED Registered Nurse Job in Cookeville, TN

Cookeville Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026, offering $2,200 weekly pay on a 3x12 nights schedule.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 34-room, 56-bed emergency department with a daily census of approximately 140 visits. You'll work with patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Your patient ratio will be 1:4 across all shifts, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, social services, and interpretation services
• Utilize the Paragon charting system (EPIC experience preferred)
• Provide weekend coverage every other weekend with scheduling based on unit needs
• May be asked to precept other nursing staff

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current Tennessee or compact nursing license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• ENPC and TNCC certifications preferred
• Must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Important Note

No Requested Time Off (RTO) is approved between February 8, 2027, and March 31, 2027, due to Epic implementation. There is no on-call requirement for this position.
