ED RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

Memorial Hospital - Chattanooga is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with an every-other-weekend schedule. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1. You may float between emergency departments as needed and will be last in the on-call rotation for travelers. Pre-assigned holiday requirements and self-scheduling with manager oversight apply.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using GE telemetry monitors
• Draw labs and manage common drips including pressors, Heparin, and sedation
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow) and notify RT as needed
• Treat common diagnoses including chest pain, stroke, shortness of breath, and sepsis
• Chart in EPIC

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• BSN not required

Onboarding

You will complete 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation in addition to education requirements. Block scheduling accommodates unit needs.

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay is $2,147. Dress code is navy blue scrubs with CommonSpirit logo.
