Join MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown as a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology Lab. This 91-day travel assignment offers a stable schedule with no on-call or weekend requirements and no floating between service lines.

Schedule & Compensation

  • 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (shift length varies based on procedure completion)
  • $2,448 weekly pay
  • No on-call or weekend commitments
  • Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be divided across shifts

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
  • Current EP Lab experience required
  • South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Radiation badge (provided by agency)

Your Role

You will care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures. You will monitor procedural sedation, assist with arrhythmia management, obtain 12-lead EKGs, manage activated clotting time, and support a wide range of interventions including cardiac ablation, pacemaker insertion, cardioversion, and left atrial appendage closure.

Core Skills

  • Activated Clotting Time (ACT) monitoring
  • Cardioversion and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Procedural sedation monitoring and administration
  • Circulating and scrub procedures
  • 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition

Additional Skills (as applicable)

  • Cardiac ablation, mapping, and conduction studies
  • AICD insertion and programming
  • Pacemaker insertion and programming
  • Sheath removal and vascular closure monitoring
  • Antiarrhythmic and antihypertensive medication management
  • Emergency medication administration and reversal agents

Facility Details

  • Charting on Epic (preferred experience)
  • Hospital-issued scrubs provided
