Physical Therapist Job in Hilo, HI

Join Hilo Medical Center as a Physical Therapist in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate and treat patients across acute rehab with secondary responsibilities in intermediate care facility (ICF) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) environments.

Your Role:

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients and residents
• Plan and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians and consulting specialists
• Provide consulting physical therapist services
• Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system

Schedule & Duration:

You will work 5x8 rotating shifts on variable schedules, including Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Sunday-Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed based on hospital operations. This is a 182-day assignment beginning August 17, 2026.

What We're Looking For:

• Hawaii state physical therapy license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 6 months work experience in at least one of the following: acute inpatient setting, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing facility, working with adult populations
• Primary acute inpatient experience required
• BLS certification required

Compensation & Logistics:

Weekly pay is $2,482. You will need to arrive Thursday before your start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
