Medical Lab Technician

Opportunity:

MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) - Med Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• No on-call or standby call requirements
• Work in core lab covering hematology, coagulation, and chemistry
• Microbiology and blood bank experience may be required depending on shift assignment
• Experience in a large, tertiary hospital lab preferred, including trauma level 1, Children's hospital, and complex hematology and blood bank clinical experience
• Utilize Epic Beaker as the primary charting and laboratory information system
• MLT (2-year degree and certified) or MT/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (4-year degree and certified) credentials required
• BLS certification required if position involves patient contact
• No phlebotomy duties required - dedicated phlebotomy team on site
• No specific scrub color required; closed-toe shoes mandatory; business casual dress also accepted
• Department-specific orientation period of approximately 2-3 weeks depending on individual competency
