CVOR Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

Join Prisma Health Richland Hospital as a CVOR Technologist on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work a 4x10 day shift schedule in a specialized cardiothoracic and vascular operating room with 5 rooms and 6 beds.

Your Responsibilities:

• Scrub surgical cases including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), aortic aneurysm repair, angioplasty/stenting, and other CVOR procedures
• Apply aseptic technique, radiation safety, sharps safety, and universal protocol procedures including time-outs
• Perform mesh measuring and additional timeout procedures for retained or foreign objects
• Assist nursing staff in the room as needed (scrub role, non-circulating)
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV specialists and radiology

On-Call Requirements:

• Vascular on-call: 7 to 10 days per rotation including weekends
• Cardiothoracic on-call: 10 to 15 days per rotation including 2 weekends
• Call requirements decrease as staffing levels increase
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks under guaranteed hours policy

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a U.S. Surgical Technology program or U.S. Armed Forces Surgical Technologist training
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
• Current BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification (NCCT accepted if applicable per SC requirements)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Charting system and EPIC EMR experience preferred

All requested time off must be submitted at the time of assignment application; approval is based on facility needs. On-call details will be discussed during your interview. Compensation is $2,498 weekly. Start date is November 16, 2026.
