CVOR Technologist Job in Myrtle Beach, SC

McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for our CVOR unit in Myrtle Beach, SC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 25, 2026, with a 5x8 day shift schedule and weekday hours plus weekend call responsibilities.

Role Overview

You will work in a high-volume surgical environment averaging 6 cases per day, performing open heart surgery and vascular procedures. You'll function under the supervision and delegatory authority of surgeons to facilitate safe and effective invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and highest standards of sterile technique throughout procedures
• Perform initial and additional instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping according to standards of practice
• Prepare and pass instruments, sutures, and equipment with complete working knowledge of each device
• Ensure operating room environment is safe and all equipment functions properly
• Assist with patient and surgical site verification during time out procedures
• Prepare and pass off specimens as appropriate
• Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning patients using proper body mechanics
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization and assist with terminal room cleaning
• Demonstrate competency in emergency management, infection control, communication, and perioperative patient care
• Use standard precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment when handling blood and body fluids

Requirements

You must hold current NBSTSA certification (NBSTSA certifications only accepted). You should be flexible, punctual, and willing to learn in a dynamic surgical environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient and employee safety.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,860 for this 91-day assignment.
