CVICU RN Job in Lafayette, Indiana

Franciscan Health Lafayette is seeking a travel RN for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 91-day assignment beginning October 5, 2026, offering night shifts (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM) on a 3x12 schedule. You will earn $2,212 per week.

Role Overview

You will care for cardiac, post-operative cardiac, and medical ICU overflow patients in a dynamic critical care environment. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity. You may float to ICU or other inpatient units as needed and may be placed on call or low census once every 4 weeks.

Schedule and Requirements

• Night shifts: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement covering Friday and Saturday night shifts
• Minimum 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience
• Minimum 1 year of ventilator and cardiac drip experience
• At least 2 years of PCU/progressive care experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and NIH stroke scale
• Must pass Cardiac Rhythm Knowledge Exam with a score of 90% or higher

Equipment and Systems

You will work with advanced cardiac equipment including EKOS, balloon pump, Impella, IV pumps, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators. The facility uses Epic as its EMR system.

Dress Code and Policies

RNs wear navy blue scrubs. Sweatshirts and t-shirts are prohibited. Facial piercings must be removed or covered with flesh-colored jewelry.

Cardiac ICU and step-down or progressive care experience is preferred. This position offers you the opportunity to utilize your critical care expertise in a specialized cardiovascular setting while enjoying the flexibility of a travel assignment.
