Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Travel experience required
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• 24 orientation hours required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Patients include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department (combined adult/pediatric), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
