MRI Technologist Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology in a Level I Trauma facility while maintaining focus and expertise in MRI services.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 rotating shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with varying days and weekend/holiday requirements
• On-call: Every other Thursday as backup coverage for overnight staff
• Facility: Three MRI rooms with Siemens equipment including Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, and Espree 1.5T scanners
• Volume: Average 35–40 scans/studies per day
• Scope: Cardiac, breast, and angio imaging studies performed exclusively within the MRI department with no floating to other areas

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of MRI protocols and patient positioning
• Start intravenous lines as required
• Utilize EPIC and McKesson PACS systems for charting and image management
• Collaborate with in-house radiologists during day shifts and on-site residents during night shifts

Requirements

• Certified MRI Technologist – ARRT (MR)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Current driver's license required at time of submission
• Trauma Level I facility experience required
• Reside outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha

• One week of flexible orientation and training provided
• Gray scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care departments
