Job Details:

• 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts starting at 7:00 AM on weekdays with every other weekend required
• 36 or 48 hour contract options available with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility needs
• Blocked schedule requests will be accommodated when possible
• Care for pre/post operative surgical cardiovascular patients and medical cardiac patients requiring progressive care and monitoring
• Care for vascular patients, amputation patients, and detox patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with a stretch ratio of 1:5; LPNs also work the unit and ratios may vary based on circumstances
• Daily census of 28 patients across 28 beds
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be through American Heart Association); MAB preferred
• Charting system: Cerner experience required
• Required skills: IV starts, telemetry, PCU/IMC, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac telemetry, heparin protocols, blood product administration, PICC line management, central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, and titrating cardiac drips
• Special procedures include: ostomies, chest tubes, wound vacs and wound care, CPAP/BiPAP, central lines, PICCs, and drips including Heparin, Aminophylline, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, and Argatroban
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Scrub color: Royal Blue or White for RNs
• Parking is free for travelers
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
