Respiratory Therapist Job in Hiram, GA

Paulding Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position in our respiratory services department. You'll work from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with the majority of your time spent in critical care areas where you'll exercise significant independent decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing patient assessments and implementing evaluate-and-treat protocols
• Administering aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene treatments, volume expansion therapy, oxygen, and medical gas therapy
• Managing ventilators, including weaning, waveform graphic interpretation, and airway management (intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy tube changes and care)
• Performing arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
• Assisting in invasive and non-invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing
• Providing patient and family education regarding respiratory care
• Participating in staff development and education of new employees and students

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of critical care experience
• 0–2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, and RCP
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills

This is a 91-day assignment starting September 4, 2026. You'll earn $1,828 per week as an Allied Health Professional in a hospital setting.
