OR Registered Nurse Job in Colorado Springs, CO

Penrose Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is a 91-day travel assignment running from July 27, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,436.48.

Position Details

You will work three 12-hour day shifts with a primary schedule of Friday through Sunday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Additional shift times of 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM or 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM are available. You must be available for an on-call rotation of approximately 120 hours per contract on weeknights and weekends, with a 30-minute call response time required. Holiday call requirements may apply, with preference for coverage around the 4th of July depending on your contract terms.

Facility Information

This is a Trauma Level 2 acute care facility with 16 operating suites averaging 30 cases per day. Common procedures include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics cases. The OR operates with 2 OR techs on shift and has a charge nurse and house supervisor present. Scrubbing is not required for RNs in this role.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Colorado
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Trauma and Neuro experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Reside within 60 miles of the facility with a valid driver's license
• Available in state for week of orientation
• BSN not required

Additional Information

The facility uses Epic for charting. Scrubs are provided. Floating may be required only in cases of extreme need within designated zone locations. You will work in an acute care setting with access to all necessary resources and a collaborative team environment.
