Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in perfusion required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Call required on weekdays and weekends in rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Serve adult and geriatric patient populations
• Conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Provide ventricular assist support and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) support
• Conduct ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
• Perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis
• Operate various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems
• Required skills include: acid-base management, anticoagulation, CABG, heart/lung transplant, hypothermic circulatory arrest, VAD, ECMO, blood conservation techniques, and cardioplegia among others
• Certification required: Certified by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
• BLS certification required
• Completion of a formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology required
• Louisiana Perfusionist license required; pending license status will be considered
• Must reside more than 65 miles from facility (address on driver's license to site address)
• One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
