Radiation Therapist Job in Albany, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. This is a full-time position working 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, beginning June 22, 2026.

About the Role

As a Radiation Therapist, you will administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under physician supervision. You will operate high-voltage machinery safely and accurately, including Varian Truebeam and Varian 21ix equipment. Your responsibilities include:

• Accurately entering and maintaining patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record
• Interpreting computerized treatment plans with precision
• Observing patients daily for reactions and reporting adverse reactions immediately
• Facilitating complex problem-solving regarding technical issues
• Adhering to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols
• Maintaining professional conduct essential to patient well-being

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure as a Radiation Therapist (may be obtained during onboarding)
• ARRT certification
• Satisfactory completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Technology program

Compensation and Details

This position offers $2,774 per week. The assignment runs for 91 days. Please note that local candidates from ineligible counties are not accepted as of January 11, 2024.
