Med Surg RN Job in Edmond, OK

OU Health in Edmond, OK is seeking an RN for a Med Surg position. This is a 12-hour shift role on a 3x12 schedule—48-hour shifts are not available. The assignment runs for 89 days, beginning November 23, 2026. You will earn $2,264.40 per week.

In this role, you will assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and deliver competent nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Your core responsibilities include:

• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Monitor and note all changes in physician orders for your assigned patients
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data and observe physiological manifestations, intervening when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
