RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care on a 36-bed medical/surgical unit operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Care for patients ranging from adolescents (17 years and older) to geriatric patients requiring hospitalization or nursing intervention
• Treat patients with general and/or surgical needs including general surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, urology, women's health, gynecology, uro-gyn, gyn oncology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and spinal/neuro overflow
• Provide care for women experiencing obstetrical issues such as intra-uterine fetal demise, preeclampsia, hyperemesis, substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic pregnancies
• Maintain 1:5/6 patient ratios in a fast-paced environment with varied patient assignments throughout each shift
• Float position required
• Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg experience required
• Epic experience within the last year required and must be listed on resume
• BLS certification required
• Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE required
• Solid black scrubs required
• Block schedules will not be accommodated
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off accepted at time of submission; no RTO during first two weeks of assignment
