Oncology RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking an RN for a Pediatric Oncology position in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an 8-hour shift role with a duration of 89 days, starting September 21, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,657.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of pediatric oncology patients
• Administer medications as prescribed, including chemotherapy and supportive medications
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Obtain and monitor physiological data; intervene when necessary based on patient status changes
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments in the patient record
• Note all changes in physician orders and communicate updates to the care team
• Assist physicians with patient examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Deliver competent care across a range of health conditions from straightforward to complex
• Interact with patients and families to discuss care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and processes
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate

Requirements

• Current RN license
• APHON Chemotherapy certification
• Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience
