Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three days per week (3x12)
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
• Weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays), along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• No time off requests accepted from 12/15/2026 through 1/5/2027; holiday coverage is expected
• Travel partners are not allowed
• Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath procedures and managing ports required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active Kentucky or compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Support ED boarders across the system — patients waiting for an inpatient bed while receiving care in the ED
• Float potential between Edgewood and Florence campuses, as well as to Observation Units, MS, and MS Tele units as needed
• Skills required include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips (no titration), PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath, telemetry monitoring, and wound care/wound vac among others
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, iPad for communication, and pacemaker interrogation devices
• Scrubs must be Navy Blue with no agency or brand logos
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Natural fingernails required for direct patient care; nails must be less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• No cafeteria on-site; refrigerator and microwave provided
