Telemetry RN Job in Pikeville, KY

Pikeville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit in Pikeville, KY. This is a 56-week travel assignment starting October 12, 2026, offering $2,152 weekly pay.

Position Details

• 12-hour night shifts, three days per week, with no blocked scheduling
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week required
• Every other weekend and holiday required unless time off is approved
• Float throughout all inpatient Med Surg / Telemetry units; may assist other units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 across units ranging from 15 to 45 beds
• Black scrubs required

Requirements

• Current Kentucky or Compact RN License
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry specialty
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing
• EKG competency test required during compliance process
• CareView or EPIC charting experience preferred; on-site training available

You will work as part of a collaborative team providing direct patient care across multiple inpatient units. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, managing patient care, and supporting the broader medical-surgical team. Charting experience in current systems is preferred but training will be provided on-site.
