Telemetry RN Job in Pikeville, KY

Pikeville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. This is a full-time travel position offering a competitive weekly pay of $2,482 for an 8-week contract beginning November 2, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 4x12 schedule with a guaranteed 48 hours per week. You may float throughout inpatient areas, including Med-Surg and Telemetry units. Patient ratios typically run 1:6, depending on unit assignment and census (15–45 beds). You must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips and have a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in this specialty.

Scheduling

• Night shift: 12-hour rotations
• Every other weekend and holiday required (unless approved time off)
• Holiday rotation required; guaranteed hours do not apply when the unit is closed
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• No on-call or callback requirements

Requirements

• Current Kentucky or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing
• EKG test completion during compliance process
• Experience with Care View/EPIC charting preferred; on-site training provided
