ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Emergency Department unit with 52 beds
• Patient ratios average 3:1, low acuity 5:1, with team nursing for pediatrics
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
• Perform typical ED procedures including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
• Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech/CPN EMR system
• Must scan patient medications every time per unit policy
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH
• Preferred certifications: ENPC
• Meditech experience preferred
• Experience traveling to large facilities preferred
• Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment and work independently
