CT Technologist Job in Richmond, VA

VCU Medical Center is hiring a CT Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Richmond, VA. You'll work a Tuesday through Friday schedule, 4 hours per shift in the evenings, earning $2,880 weekly. Your start date is August 3, 2026.

About the Role

You'll operate CT imaging equipment in a mixed environment serving both the Emergency Department and Inpatient settings at the downtown CT location. You'll work with patient populations spanning neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Your scope includes float assignments within your practice area as needed.

Required Experience and Certifications

• 2+ years of CT technologist experience
• Current Siemens platform experience (no more than 1 year away from the platform)
• Trauma Level I experience
• Epic charting system experience
• ARRT (R), ARRT (R)(CT), and BLS certifications

Clinical Competencies

You'll demonstrate proficiency in the following technical skills:

• Abdomen imaging (with and without contrast)
• Brain perfusion studies
• Chest imaging (with and without contrast)
• Virtual colonography
• CT arthrography
• Head imaging (with and without contrast)
• Musculoskeletal trauma imaging
• Pelvis imaging (with and without contrast)
• Thoracic imaging
• Transplant studies
• Vascular CTA
• PACS system operation
• Contrast media preparation and administration
• Peripheral IV insertion

What We're Looking For

You maintain current, natural nails and are comfortable adapting to facility workflows. A BSN is preferred but not required. VCU Medical Center provides a 2-week onboarding period to help you understand workflows, meet key contacts, and transition to independent practice.
