ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Night shift position from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required every third weekend
• No call requirements
• Float requirements as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• Minimum 2 years of ED/trauma experience required, inpatient only
• Must have trauma experience
• Patient ratio of 1:4 in a 61-bed Emergency Department
• EMR system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), NIHSS, TNCC
• Current RN license required, must be eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Scrub color: Black only; no other attire acceptable
• Night shift orients on day shift; must be available the entire week for orientation
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Significant physical demands including standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• Push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 15 lbs.; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally required
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
