Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement of at least Saturday and Sunday
• No on-call required unless placed on call for a scheduled shift due to census, then an 8-hour call requirement applies
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities may be required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule requests can be submitted prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
• Department focuses on med/surg patients with Ortho/Neuro experience preferred
• 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers considered on an individual basis
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Royal blue

• Preferred skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management, CVA care, Feeding Tube Care, Heparin, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, MS/Tele, Ortho Trauma, PCA, PICC Line Management, Post MI, Pre/Post Neurosurgery, Spinal Cord Injury, Telemetry, Total Joint Replacement, Tracheostomy Care, Traumatic Brain Injury, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Unit contains 36 beds/rooms with an average daily census of 34.6
• Patients served include adolescents and adults
