CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Colorado Springs, CO

You will work as a Surgical Technologist in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Weekly pay: $1,684.80
• Approximately 120 hours of call total per contract, self-scheduled between weekday and weekend
• One weekend shift required per 6 weeks
• Call response time: 30 minutes; sleep room available on-site
• Set schedules with option to block scheduling; no floating requirements except in extreme need within Zone 1

The Role

You will support cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures in an acute care setting with 16 operating suites averaging 30 cases per day. Common cases include General, Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and ENT procedures. You must have experience in General, Neuro, and Robotics cases.

What You'll Need

• Degree: Allied Health Professional
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification via NBSTSA
• Valid driver's license; must be located within 60 miles of the facility

Orientation and Workplace Details

• One week of unit and department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs provided on-site
• Electronic health record system: EPIC
• BSN not required

This position offers a structured schedule with minimal floating, on-site support, and the opportunity to work in a high-volume surgical environment.
