Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available on days and nights
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• May float to other units within scope of practice, including Ashby or Herrick Campus depending on census and need - shuttle provided when floating is requested
• Advance notice of approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start time provided when floating is requested
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), NIHSS
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, starting and maintaining IVs, tracheostomy care, and wound care/wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Responsibilities include overall management of nursing care from admission to discharge, assuring patient safety, comfort, and personal hygiene, and responding to medical and environmental emergencies
