Opportunity:

OT - Therapy Rehab Acute Care

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule plus one weekend day per month
• Daily patient load of 7 patients
• Productivity standard of 81% billable units
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience in an acute hospital setting required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT, Indiana state license
• Scrub color: Royal Blue with black shoes
• Evaluate and treat patients across all acuity levels including ICU and progressive care units
• Patient diagnoses include CABG and other cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson's disease, and amputation
• Develop and follow plans of care including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities to improve function
• Assess appropriateness of discharge disposition recommendations on a daily basis
• Supervise and guide COTAs with plans of care
• Work with the team to manage daily caseload and attend multidisciplinary rounds
• Complete documentation daily
• Experience managing high acuity ICU/PCU patients preferred
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby is required
