ED RN Job in Overland Park, KS

Join Overland Park Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment offering a 4x12 night shift schedule with competitive compensation of $2,480 weekly.

Position Overview

You will work in a Level 2 trauma center emergency department with a patient ratio of 1:4. The schedule is mid-shift, ranging from as early as 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, or as late as 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with every third weekend required. Floating to other units is rare and occurs only if other staff have been flexed home.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
• Deliver care in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis cases
• Execute rapid and accurate triage
• Operate specialized equipment including Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
• Document using the Meditech system
• Implement AIDET communication and whiteboard tools for patient experience

Requirements

• Current Kansas RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, and TCRN
• Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage

Dress Code

Cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants (solid color), and closed-toe shoes required.
