RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week
• Schedule includes both weekdays and weekends
• Patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity; unit may have overflow patients requiring step-down level of care
• Must have ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience
• Must be experienced in direct fresh open-heart admissions from the OR
• Must be proficient in pressure monitoring and Swan-Ganz management
• Must have experience with Impella monitoring and CRRT
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
• Charting system: Cerner
• No scrubs provided
• May occasionally float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit
• Blocked schedules are an option
• Key clinical skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, CVVHD/CRRT, IABP, Impella, and post cardiac surgery care directly from the OR
• Special equipment used includes Impella CP and IABP
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
