Job Details:

• Maintain professional image and provide excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Clean, decontaminate, prepare, sterilize, store, and manage items from surgical services and other hospital departments
• Transport instruments, supplies, and equipment to the decontamination area following established policies and procedures
• Operate sonic cleaner, washer/disinfector, and cart washer as part of the decontamination process
• Inspect, prepare, wrap, and assemble baskets and containers for instruments
• Load, operate, unload, and clean Sterrad and Steam Sterilizers in accordance with established parameters
• Unload cooling racks and manage proper storage of instruments
• Perform surgical case picking and issue sterile goods
• Distribute supplies and instruments in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean work area and notify supervisor of equipment failures, instrument issues, or other needs
• Adhere to Standard Precautions at all times
• Participate in offered education, in-services, and attend required meetings
• Must hold one of the following certifications: HSPA, CBSPD, or NBSTSA
