Respiratory Therapist Job in Reno, Nevada

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule with varied days, providing 36 guaranteed hours weekly.

Your Role

You will perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders to assess, treat, and improve cardiopulmonary conditions across patient populations from newborn through geriatric ages. Your work will span critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care settings. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families. You will initiate or modify patient plans of care following predetermined and structured protocol orders, maintain proper documentation of all patient records and department logs, and may float to other areas of the organization up to your competency level.

Schedule and Call

Your schedule will include rotating days of the week, weekends, holidays, and some call shifts. You may be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period. Specific call requirements will be discussed during your interview.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
• Recent critical care experience required
• PICU and NICU experience required
• Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
• Current RRT credential and Nevada State License
• Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care required prior to start
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,496.60. This is a 91-day assignment.
