NICU Registered Nurse Job in Santa Rosa, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the NICU at Sutter Health Santa Rosa Regional Hospital. This 91-day travel assignment begins September 21, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,197.

Schedule and Staffing

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:3 during all shifts
• 12-bed NICU unit with daily census of 8 patients
• Voluntary call and floating as needed

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for neonatal patients only
• Deliver holistic, individualized care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized patient plans of care
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate transitions of care

Requirements

• Current California RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of level III or level IV NICU experience as an RN; 5 years preferred
• Charge experience preferred; high-risk delivery experience strongly preferred
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. An orientation period of 36 hours is provided.
