Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5
• 1 CNA per 10-14 patients available on unit
• Treat general medical patients including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and similar diagnoses
• Required to titrate insulin and heparin drips
• CPAP and established BiPAP equipment experience required
• No telemonitor techs on unit; telemonitoring conducted remotely via Ascom app on iPhone - ability to read strips preferred
• Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
• Charting completed in EPIC
• Floating within Region I may be required; additional $20 per hour when floated to a non-primary facility
• First to float when unit does not need additional support
• Professional scrub colors required
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Current Washington state nursing license required
