Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with Saturday and Sunday considered weekend shifts
• Required to work 2 Fridays per schedule
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules allowed as long as unit needs are met
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Float only to other Med Surg units
• One shift orientation with a preceptor
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certification: BLS
• Navy blue scrubs required; jackets if worn must also be navy blue
• Care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end of life, and chemotherapy patients
• May be assigned to both clean and dirty patient hallways simultaneously; must be comfortable with this
• Manage patients on remote telemetry monitored by a monitor tech on the 3rd floor; no monitors on unit
• Administer Heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures; no cardiac drips
• Work with Bipap, CPAP, and high flow oxygen managed by respiratory therapy
• Client may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
