CVOR RN Job in Colorado Springs, CO

Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This is a 91-day travel position with flexible start dates beginning July 6, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work in a 16-suite OR facility with 3 dedicated CVOR suites, supporting an average of 30 cases daily, including 1–2 open heart procedures per day. Your responsibilities include:

• Operating Room support for open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Limited scrubbing focused on heart-holding and chest closure assistance
• Floating to General OR when CVOR cases are unavailable
• Floating to other Zone 1 facilities during critical staffing needs

Schedule

You will work three 12.5-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with negotiable timing). Additional call requirements include one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month (Friday through Sunday, rotating with staff). Call response time is 30 minutes with an on-site call room provided. Holiday call is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• Open heart and/or endovascular experience required
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to work within 60-mile radius
• BSN not required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,575.44
