Emergency Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department on a night shift schedule. This is a travel assignment beginning July 16, 2026, and lasting 91 days.

Position Details

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• On-call requirement of 2 to 24-hour shifts every 8 weeks
• Weekly pay: $1,864.80

Credentials and Certifications

• Active RN license required (single state or multi-state compact)
• Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
• BLS (AHA or ARC) required upon hire
• ACLS and PALS required within 180 days of hire
• TNCC or ATCN required within 18 months of hire
• Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care adapted to population-specific characteristics including age, gender, and diagnosis
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through rounds, case reviews, and inclusive communication methods
• Complete timely documentation and maintain a respectful and inclusive clinical environment
• Serve as preceptor or mentor for other nursing professionals and students when applicable
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and data collection activities
• Function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and composed manner
