SLP Speech Language Pathologist Job in Douglasville, GA

Douglas Hospital's Rehab Services department is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a day shift position. You will evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the broader care team.

Position Details:

• Day shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call, holiday, or weekend requirements
• 13-week assignment starting June 9, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,072

Your Responsibilities:

• Implement speech language therapy treatment plans and select appropriate activities to progress patients toward individualized goals
• Revise goals and plans of care based on patient and family input
• Provide ongoing patient and family education and training
• Deliver discharge instructions, follow-up coordination, and referrals to community resources
• Establish and conduct ongoing evaluation of treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and plans of care according to departmental protocols
• Complete required family education and discharge documentation within facility guidelines
• Observe infection prevention precautions and adhere to departmental policies
• Apply AIDET principles in all patient interactions
• Utilize materials and equipment safely and cost-effectively

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program
• Current SLP certification (Speech Language Pathologist)
• BLS certification (AHA, ARC-BLS, or BLS Instructor)
• Effective communication skills and customer service orientation
• Team-focused approach and basic computer skills

Preferred:

• FEES certification
