Job Details:

• Day shift position from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call, holiday, or weekend requirements
• Evaluate patients and develop speech/language plans of care in areas of speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing in collaboration with physicians
• Implement speech language therapy treatment plans and select appropriate treatment activities to progress patients toward goals
• Revise goals and plan of care with patient and family input
• Provide ongoing patient and family education and training
• Provide discharge instructions, follow-up, and referrals to community resources as appropriate
• Establish and conduct ongoing evaluation of treatment programs, plan of care, goals, and discharge plans
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and plan of care according to departmental guidelines and protocols
• Complete and submit family education, discharge, and other required documentation within facility and program guidelines
• Adhere to departmental dress code policy, including wearing and displaying ID badge appropriately
• Utilize materials and equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner
• Observe infection prevention precautions
• Apply AIDET principles in all patient interactions
• Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program required
• Required certifications: SLP - Speech Language Pathologist and BLS (AHA), ARC-BLS, or BLS Instructor
• FEES certification preferred
• Effective communication skills, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skills required
