MRI Technologist Job in York, ME

York Hospital is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our imaging department. You will work 36 hours per week on a 3x12 schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. This is a 91-week travel position beginning August 10, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures, including protocol development and optimization
• Screen patients for contraindications and ensure compliance with ACR and facility safety protocols
• Interview and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing concerns with professionalism and tact
• Maintain patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of metal objects, and alerting staff to hazards near the magnet
• Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain daily equipment status reports
• Monitor inventory and assist with equipment maintenance
• Provide age-appropriate care to geriatric, pediatric, and general patient populations
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to support safety
• Support holiday coverage through call assistance as needed based on census

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program
• ARRT registration required
• BCLS certification required within 4 months of hire and must be maintained

You will earn $2,233.80 per week. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hospital setting while maintaining schedule flexibility through variable shifts based on departmental needs.
