OR RN Job in Anchorage, AK

Alaska Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Anchorage. This is a weekend-based position with call availability during weekdays.

Position Overview

• 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Primary weekend schedule required; weekday call shifts averaging 5–6 per 8-week cycle, plus approximately 1 weekend call shift per cycle (roughly 15 call shifts per month, variable)
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 11 operating rooms within the unit
• Day shift staffing: 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs; night shift: one charge RN and one scrub tech in-house with call backup

Clinical Focus

• Experience required in orthopedics, total joints, neurology, and robotics
• Typical cases include total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi robotic procedures (GYN, colorectal, general surgery)
• Circulator experience preferred; scrub experience preferred
• You will serve as patient advocate as circulator while supporting the sterile field

Facility & Systems

• EMR: Epic
• Variety of OR beds and surgical equipment
• Scrubs provided by facility

Requirements

• Current Alaska RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• CNOR certification preferred
