RN - OR Inpatient

Job Details:

• Day shift position
• Schedule options of 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts per week
• One 24-hour on-call requirement one weekend per month
• Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate communication methods including bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care within a professional care delivery model
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance
• Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and students
• Uphold all healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies including TJC Patient Safety Goals
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred)
• Required certifications upon hire: RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact) and BLS (AHA, ARC, or Instructor)
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing with requisite clinical hours required
• Direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills required
• Basic computer skills and ability to optimize use of technology to support clinical care required
