Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available
• Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours
• Weekend scheduling based on need - weekends may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other locations is a possibility
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
• Unit focuses on post-surgical patients including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations
• Provide routine and complex nursing care, practicing independently in a MedSurg clinical setting
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to submission
• Required certifications: BLS certification from AHA
• RN license in state of employment or compact required
• EPIC experience is a bonus
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
