Pediatrics RN Job in Dickinson, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for a 91-day travel assignment in Pediatrics. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 17-bed med-surg unit that serves both adult and pediatric patients. This is an acute care setting where you'll gain experience across a variety of diagnoses.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling available; weekends required as needed
• No holiday requirement
• Orientation: 1 to 2 twelve-hour shifts (day and/or night as needed)

Unit Environment

• 17 beds total: 14 inpatient, 3 observation
• Nurse-to-patient ratio on nights: 1:5
• 2 nurse aids on days, 1 on nights
• Care for patients with UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, COPD, and related conditions
• ICU monitors telemetry and reads strips; MSP nurses apply telemetry to patients
• Occasional BiPap managed primarily by respiratory therapy; no ventilators on unit

Clinical Resources & Requirements

• Charting system: MEDITECH
• First to float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS
• BSN not required
• Navy blue scrubs required

Important Policies

• Clinicians with facial hair must pass a fit test; failure to pass or remove facial hair may result in contract cancellation

• Weekly pay: $2,316
