ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week
• 2 weekends per month required
• Home unit is standard ICU with float required to IMCU and Med Surg based on patient volume
• ICU patient ratio is 1:2, ratios will vary when floating
• Must be willing to float
• All white or all navy scrubs required
• NC license or Multistate license required at submittal
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be via AHA)
• EPIC experience and proficiency required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable taking pediatric patients as they are occasionally present but not frequent
• Required skills include: ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care and management, arterial line management, continuous IV sedation, titration of IV vasopressors, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure, infection prevention, isolation precautions and PPE, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
