PACU RN Job in Lebanon, NH

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at D-H Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. This is a travel assignment lasting 89 days, beginning October 12, 2026. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, earning $2,436 weekly.

In this high-acuity, high-volume environment, you will provide post-operative care to patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures, including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, kidney transplant, and Whipple procedures. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and managing patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase
• Caring for patients with ventricular drains and managing ICP-related considerations
• Proficiently managing arterial lines and central lines
• Administering vasoactive and sedative infusions
• Managing chest tubes and tracheostomies
• Providing care to overnight PACU boarders, including ICU craniotomy patients, step-down patients, and medical-surgical patients

You will encounter variable start times of 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM. The PACU operates in a fast-paced setting, particularly during evening hours. Patients requiring ICP monitoring are transferred directly to the ICU rather than remaining in PACU.

Previous ICU experience and/or high-acuity PACU experience are strongly preferred for this position. You should be comfortable managing multiple patients simultaneously and adapting quickly to changing patient conditions and priorities in a controlled but dynamic environment.
