Respiratory Therapist RRT Job in Phoenix, AZ

BUMC Phoenix is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team. You'll work a 3x12 day shift and earn $2,289 weekly on an 89-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide independent respiratory care, pulmonary, and cardiology diagnostic testing across varied healthcare settings
• Perform all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and licensed independent practitioners
• Apply and manage mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians, recommending adjustments to improve clinical outcomes and patient comfort
• Assemble, disassemble, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, clean, and adjust durable medical equipment and circuitry used in respiratory care delivery
• Conduct patient assessments and evaluate response to care, making recommendations to physicians regarding plan of care
• Document therapy provided accurately and completely in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Communicate and collaborate with resource staff to formulate care plans and identify solutions to clinical problems
• May be assigned to various areas throughout the system where respiratory care is needed
• May supervise department staff as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in respiratory therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC
• Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner (AZRCP) license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Minimum one year of clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU Level 3 experience
• ACLS and PALS certifications
