Med Surg RN Job in Cape Girardeau, MO

You'll work as an RN on a Medical-Surgical Neurosciences unit at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Weekend hours as needed
• Block scheduling requests considered but not guaranteed
• No on-call requirements

Your Role

You'll care for medical and surgical neuro patients on a 17-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio. Patient populations include those with Parkinson's disease, stroke, lumbar conditions, and related diagnoses—no trauma. You must have charge experience or be willing to learn and assume charge duties. Float assignments to Med Surg and Progressive Care units may occur as needed.

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be completed during orientation)
• Neuro and stroke experience highly preferred
