About this role

Alaska Native Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, offering competitive compensation and a structured schedule in Anchorage.

Schedule & Compensation

  • 3x12-hour night shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • Weekly pay: $2,306.88
  • No on-call requirements

Role Responsibilities

You will provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, and other age groups across multiple units. Patient ratio is 1:4. You will float within scope to support PICU, NICU, Adult ICU, CCU, Flex Unit, Step-Down Unit (SDU), pediatrics, and other designated areas as facility needs require. Night shifts have the possibility to fill in day shifts if necessary.

Clinical Requirements & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • PICU experience is required
  • NICU and Adult ICU experience preferred
  • Patient diagnoses include respiratory therapy, Level 2 ER/PICU/NICU trauma, CCU, floor therapy, and high-acuity populations
  • Proficiency with Servo U-V60 and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

Required Credentials & Certifications

  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Requirements

  • Cerner charting system experience required
  • Any color or pattern scrubs permitted
